Competing In Tournaments

Player Profile:

  • I train consistently every week.
  • I'm competing in national and/or international tournaments.
  • I compete once a week.
  • I'm confident enough in my shots and technique that it's time for a new racquet.
  • I think I'm playing with the wrong racquet for my ultimate performance.
  • I'm competing against people who hit the ball heavier than I and a new racquet will help me win more games.
  • I think my racquet is right for me but I want to try new spec.
  • I think my racquet is right for me but I want to try new strings.
What Could My Session Look Like:
  1. Hitting two different shots with four of the top recommended racquets (more data driven than feel driven) then test the top racquet against mine on more shot types.
  2. Trial a range of spec changes with my own racquet across multiple shot types.
  3. Trial a range of string tensions with my racquets (note: your racquets will need to be dropped off latest 24 hours before your session)
  4. Trial a range of string types and setups   (note: your racquets will need to be dropped off latest 24 hours before your session)

What does Tennis Lab do differently?

We leverage world-leading ball tracking system HawkEye to analyse your hitting on-court and find your perfect equipment match. We take the guess-work out of choosing your next racquet and use data to decide, paired with years of experience from our industry-leading experts. This court is one of 2-3 courts in the WORLD that has Hawkeye permanently installed and available for public use.

What racquets will I be using in the fitting?

We hold demo stock of all the current market racquets, covering 10 brands, including the most popular and more niche. They are all painted in black so there is no brand bias during fittings. They are all strung with Luxilon Alu Power at 50lbs as this is a performance string that holds tension well and also is the most popular string on the pro tour.
